What is Asperger's ?
Picture
Chances are if you have found this site you will already know what Asperger's is and are living with it or with someone who has Asperger's.
Aspergers Syndrome is a condition within the autism spectrum criteria.
It is often misunderstood by the general public and an assumption is often made that the autism tag refers to a low IQ. Often people living with Asperger's have an IQ above 70.
The main issues that arise for many people with Asperger's are:
Impairment in communication, socialization and behavior areas. (Wagner, 2009) These three areas if not addressed early may have a severe impact on the individuals learning and in particular their ability to drive a  motor vehicle safely. Early intervention with key strategies can improve the chances of a positive driving experience.

"After all, the really social people did not invent the first stone spear. It was probably invented by an Aspie who chipped away at rocks while the other people socialised around the campfire. Without autism traits we might still be living in caves"       Temple Grandin
Dr Julia Malkin MBE  is  one of the leading trainers for autistic drivers,  after completing Julia's course  Revolutions  we would like to bring this knowledge to Australia.
